What is a typical Saudi breakfast?

Typical Persian Breakfast:
Several cups of tea with loads of sugar+ Bread & cheese.

Gloria's breakfast consists of:
A bowl of cereal/ Or Poptarts+ lots of coffee (I hate decaff) & I am ready to go.

I usually start with Arabic Coffee (light roast with cardamom and Saffron). This is accompanied by Palm Dates.

Mintee mention 'Fool Medammes'. That we have over the weekend as it's so heavy that it would render you off-line. I like this state of mind, so relaxing, almost like being intoxicated without Moral or Legal repercussions along with Tamees bread which I've included a picture of in the links below.

Sometimes I'd change to a Bran Cereal and Milk, at times brown toast and a spread of Lebnah (usually, Saudi or Turkish) along with red tea with a bit of sugar.

We also try Pakistani Paratah with Kraft cheder cheese and/or honey. This is always with red tea and as the Egyptian Fool Medammes does, takes a bit of time for one to come back from the living dead. :-p

I do like Shami (Syrian and Lebanies) breakfast on most days, cheeses Olive Oil in almost everyting that suites it, thin warm breads, Olives that are preserved like pickles (what do you call that? Pickling or Corning).

My ideal breakfast, or meals in general, the variety I don't have to pick.. I like surprised and I like change, so if I walk into the kitchen and find something that I can eat without it biting back, that's 'ideal'! ;-)

By the way: That bread looks yummy Report It

I suppose as they are Texans! :D they Break the fast with tacos!!!!!!

Ma'ham and cheese sandwich.

Pop Tarts used to be my fav!!

we eat anything anyone else eats I assume (besides no pork bacon or sausages)
Since I am both American-Saudi, I blend both traditions...
My kids like cereal with milk most days.
But as for me and my husband... It varies to what my whim is on any particular day
Waffles
pancakes
scrambled eggs
fried eggs
boiled eggs
omelette
croisants with jelly
gravy on bisquits
bagel with cream cheese
oatmeal w/raisins and cinnamon
tea with bisquits
a tray of olives, feta cheese with pita bread
an arabic baked flat bread called Zaatar which is like a flat pizza with olive oil and a thyme based spice baked on top
.. same flat bread but with a thick yogurt cheese called lebnah on top...baked
and an egyptian adaptation we eat for breakfast is called Foul madammas.. its mashed fava beans with cumin and garlic spices, you eat it as a dip with pita bread for breakfast
... as you can see, the list is endless....

bread with cheese, honey, eggs and of course tea

Not sure what you call it, but I know it involves camels.

bread & cheese &eggs & cerial & coffe

camel sqwak [ lighty salted] and tea of course
