I'm moving to Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia?

can anyone tell me how much it costs to rent 2 or 3 bedroom house in Al-Khobar ? and how can i find them on the net ?

Im a Khobarian... I love this town.. Its big enough to do stuff, but small enough to not get caught in the hustle and bustle like Riyadh or Jeddah..
There is also Dammam just 15min away to the north and you can get to Bahrain across the water bridge causeway, just south of Khobar... its a 30-40 min drive away... Many Khobarians just hop on over for the weekends to take in a movie and lunch and a bit of shopping..
they are correct about the rents... it varies.. You are in luck, the housing boom is still here. There are apartments popping up like daisies all over here...
but sadly you wont find anything on the net.. We arent into advertising on the internet like in the west.. But once you get here , you'll probably be in one of our modern hotels (yes we have Sheritan, and Holiday Inns) you can find the time to venture out and view the many choices of available housing here.. Cost of living is excellent, groceries, food, gas, clothing all cheap.. Electronics galore.. You'll go insane at all the cheapo choices you have...
No Disco's, no bars, no clubs, no pork products, no alcohol...
Not that you like that sort of life, but if you just cant live without, go to Bahrain for the weekend and you'll find it all over there..
anyways.. welcome to Khobar.. its a nice town.. virtually hardly any crime, and people are friendly..

Well. Lets see, if youre moving to Al-Khobar, you have to either be in one of these 2 scenarios:

1- Hired by a large oil/engineering firm (Aramco and the like)
2- Hired by a small to medium oil/engineering firm


see, in Saudi Arabia, if you are in Scenario #1. Youre in luck. Most of these companies provide lavish villas with free shuttle buses to malls and beaches. Some even have so much security, saudis and foreigners alike think its enough to invade a country with! Trust me, some compounds have so much security, you will probably see 2-4 Abram tanks as soon as you get in.

But if you are in Scenario #2, you might face some problems. You have to look around. Although our internet listing services for renting isnt as developed as other countries, but when you look around, you see apartments like youve never seen them before. probably 1/3 to 2/3 of what it would cost you to rent the same back in your city. If your looking for a key word, an apartment with a full kitchen, dishwasher, washingmachine/dryer etc. is called a "shu'ga maf'roosha" pronounced :" Shoe'ga Maf'Roo'sha" these can go anywhere from 200 to 3000 USD a month (if you convert it)
