What do you know about Saudi Arabia and its people?

just wanna know whats in your mind

i am a saudi
but for sure i know:

- that my place looks and is much much better than what people think from far a way

- saudis have many responsibilities to:
. improve the 'wrong' image of their country
. improve their country, can't deny there are a lot of things that must be improved

- though i can't wait for the next travel trip, but i love this place : )

i'm a teenage American living in dhahran, saudi arabia. when i go back to the states on repat, i get many strange questions, like: do you go to school on a camel?, what's it like living without a tv?, and many more. in reality it's pretty much the same as the states. i go to school on a bus, i take ballet classes, i'm in girl scouts, and i have to learn pre algebra, like everyone else. i don't live in a tent, i live in a normal house. though some things are different. i'm learning arabic in school, today there was a huge sandstorm, and on the weekends we got sand sledding in the desert. when we go shopping, we have to plan everything, because all the restaurants close five times a day for "prayer time". my mom can't drive, ham is illegal, and so is alcohol. but you get use to those things. i consider it just normal, everyday, life.

Hi.. They're ppl r fairly generouse, some ppl r religus, but, u'll find gd ppl.. I live there... So yeah,, thats all..

See?!!!! THere are people like Emily above who are the young ambassadores to the world..
SaudiArabia is like everywhere else in the world.. We all want the same things, to have fun (in a moral way) to live our lives, to go to work, raise our families, etc etc
We are a very modern society.. we own cars, have modern homes, have good schools, we have modern shopping malls, we dress like western people do.. ..
Saudi's and people of the middle east are generally known as generous kind people... If you travel out to the villages away from the hustle and bustle of international towns folk, the villagers will love to get to you and chat you up.. you will find yourself involved with some old local who wants nothing more than to offer you loads of coffee and dates and sit and chat for hours.. You'll find you'll soon get invited to dinner..And there is an old custom that if you admire something they are wearing or in their home, you'll soon find it will become a gift to you and you'll be going home with that item.. (so dont be too observant, lol) You just dont say no to their hospitality, its seen as rude..

well first of all i want to say that Saudi Arabia has alot of oil!
then i would have to say there are many palm dates there. it would be fun to ride a camel one day. the only thing i dislike of this country is that there is no freedom of religion here for Christians.

Saudis are a good bunch of ppl, they are generous, kind, accomodating religious and uphold the islamic law. they are more family friendly and so girls or boy groups are not seen hanging around much. there are specific places where there are no restrictions on gathering.

they have a good lifestyle too. the best of the best brands are there be it clothing, accesories, entertainment, or just food outlets.

the social life is good with loadsa friendz. And i prefer the cleanliness, smooth and relaxed pace of life.

the country has a lot to offer in terms of historical museums, shopping complexes, desert adventures but u need to be well connected with the british/american embassies/compounds to know activites going on.

Saudis hospitaly is theri trademark, i hope their goodness is seen worldwide and their image gets an overhaul.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is very big and very hot in summer and very cold in winter.People are very nice.It has three big cities ,the capital city Riyadh,Dammam and Jeddah, and three international airports. There are alot of mosques. There are two holy cities,Makkah and Madina.

messed up people
they are always like cover your bodies
and yet they dance naked in front of men in parties
disgusting
