I reside in the Puget Sound area... Are allergies common here?? |
And do they eventually end up going away? Or is it something you must learn to live with here? Same with seasonal colds? Once we acclimate, is it something our bodies will gradually adjust to??? I never had allergies until I moved up here from Florida. I'm not sure if molds or pollens are what bugs me but at times I can barely breath. What has really helped me is getting on a daily dose of Allegra D. It's prescription only here in the States but you can buy it online or when you're up there from Canadian stores since it's not prescription up there. I've had seasonal allergies ever since moving here 15 years ago, so from my personal experience, I'd say no, they'll never go away. My whole family takes Claritin during the spring and summer...in fact, we just started taking it again this week! Welcome spring! Welcome pollen! Welcome sneezing, coughing, itchy eyes and runny noses! Western Washington is known for having some of the worst allergies! I didn't have any until I moved here 13 years ago. I take meds every day for them. |
