What is the culture like in seattle washington? |
What is the day2day culture like in Seattle washington? its VERY diverse here, lots of different cultures and races. People are very friendly. There are all different kinds of people with different styles of clothing. Seattle is like all the styles mixed together. We have hip hop mixed with rock, pop, and all sorts of other styles and you can see it in the way people dress and there personal styles. The arts are very big in seattle and like i said in the arts its very diverse in styles. Everyg group associates with everyother group. Nothign like in the movies when the cliques or races dont get along. everone gets along for the most part. Its a very nice city with a great fresh new cultural experience. extremely diverse, one of the reasons i love it here. How do you mean? This is a pretty broad question... it's really calm the airs nice, everyones friendly (well mostly), people mind their own buisness and you can do whatever you want theres not TOO much clubbing and stuff its really relaxed Most people are friendly, and alot of people tend to have a hippie outlook on things. The arts are huge here, traffic sucks, and there are organic supermarkets almost everywhere. Lots of uptight people, maybe not as "liberal" as you might think, at least that was my first impression. Seattle is often touted as an environmental place, but it's not really. Seattle would be a "green" city if it wasn't for our love of traffic; there's nothing "green" about burning fuel! (I don't own a car, just a bicycle) There are all kinds of different cultures here. You have the Asian, African-American, LGBT, business-types, hippies, homeless, emos, tourists, filthy-rich, drunk bastards, etc. |
