Can anyone recommend any good walks in and around Sheffield?

It's a good walk through Whitely woods in the Fulwood area of the city. Remember this Sheffield is known as the city within a golden frame because it is surrounded by beautiful countryside, except perhaps the bit between Sheffield and Rotherham. You could go up to the Middlewood area and walk through Beeley woods or wlk up the Rivelin Valley. Just look on an ordenance survey map and you will see lots and lots of beautiful green area and huge pieces of woodlands. Ecclesall Woods are renowned for their beauty. Visit beauchief and Millhouses park. Happy walking!

Don't know of any walks, I tend to just wander aimlessly!!

We have some lovely parks in and on the outskirts of Sheffield. Graves park, Rother Valley park, and you can hire bikes and boats there. Weston Park and the museum. How about catching a bus to the peak district and taking a walk around the peaks, Chatsworth and there are loads of picturesque villages around there.
