How far is Sheffield (south yourkshire) to newquay?

car?
train?

We heard you the first time.

You wouldnt want to walk it

Driving 336 miles - about 6 hours on a good day.

Hi, to get exact lieage go to www.theaa.co.uk and it will give exact milage and route, from expeience it will take about 7hrs by car.

Departure - Sheffield
Destination - Newquay

Time and distance:

Distance: 539km including 481km on motorways
Time: 05h25 including 04h40 on motorways

newquay in cornwall or newquay in wales? Both are a fare distance.

Yes you can go by car or train. If you really want to go surfing as a beginner you'd be better going to Hornsea. Its closer.

about 336 miles, should take you about 5 3/4 of an hour.

btw: don't take public transport it will take you about 12 hours

It doesn't make any difference whatsoever whether you go by car or train. Sheffield and Newquay are still going to be the same distance apart.

a long way you pud

around 330 miles or about a 5 to 6 hour drive

About an hour by plane from Leeds/Bradford. By road I would guess at 350 miles, assuming you would come down on the M6/M5/A30. The Bodmin bottleneck has now gone as the A30 has been duelled to Indian Queens, where you turn off to Newquay, so it is now a pretty fast run all the way.
Not sure about the train journey, whether you go into London and out again or if you can get from Sheffield to Reading, Swindon or Bristol to pick up the south west connection. I would fly - it is not that expensive a flight (did it myself a year ago for a visit to Yorkshire)

1. By car:
It is about 335 miles (538 km). The trip should take a little above five hoys to make the trip. This is a general description of the way:

- Take route A57 heading east out of Sheffield and then turn northeast on route A630 to catch Motorway M1 at Exit 33.
- Drive on M1 heading east and then south until you reach Exit 23a shortly after Nottingham.
- At Exit 23a turn west into route A42 towards Ashby-de-la-Zouch.
- A42 will become M42 heading towards Birmingham.
- M42 will take you around Birmingham until you hit M5 at Exit 4a where you should head south on M5 towards Worcester.
- Drive on M5 all the way to the end at Exeter.
- As M5 ends at Exit 31, take route A30 heading west towards Okehampton.
- Drive on A30 all the way until you reach Fraddon where you have to turn west on route A392 towards Newquay.

2. By coach:
The trip takes 10-11 hours connecting at Birmingham. Another alternative involves two coach changes at Birminghan and Plymouth. One-way adult fare is 54 pounds.

3. By rail:
The trip can take as little as seven hours by connecting at Plymouth. You may need to connect at another point between Sheffield and Plymouth or between Plymouth and Newquay for faster trip. The one-way fare is usually 105 pounds.

4. By air:
Despite Robin Hood Airport (DSA) being the closest airport from Sheffield with commercial services, the only possible way is to take a Ryanair flight to Dublin (DUB), stay over night and then take an Air Southwest flight to Newquay (NQY) the next day. The best direct alternative would be to take a direct flight from Manchester (MAN) to NQY on Air Southwest. The one-way fare can be as low as 108 pound for last-minute booking, and 57 pounds for early booking. Similar flights by Air Southwest are available from Leeds/Bradford (LBA). Flights are also available from MAN and LBA to Plymouth (PLH) by Air Southwest too.
