Can someone please tell me specially the S-Africans?

i have three original paintings, one is called 'After the rain', by Ida Nel, the second i won in a competition i don't know the name of the painting but i was done by Daphne Kohn and the third was done by Hendrik Klompje.
Are they famous, i cannot find anything about them on the computer. Am i rich yet.:))

Ha, ha. Hope you are wealthier that I am! My husband麓s grandfather had a pretty still life of some flowers in a vase, and he always told us it was some famous artist. So when he died, we grabbed the painting and off to the auctioneers, only to be told that the frame was worth more than the painting!! We could hope to get about 10 Deutsche Marks (about 5 euros) for the frame!! Twenty years down the line, the paint is chipping and cracking, so obviously no great value!!

I would hold on to them!!! The fact that they are originals means that they will only appreciate in value.

Ask a SA auctioneer about the paintings. They are sure to know.

There is a huge register they use that has all the last prices paid for different paintings and the dates they were sold. If the artist sold work, they'll be in this big book.
