Long term parking at OR Thambo?

My friend is going to CT this weekend and wants to park his car in long term parking. But we dont know where it is? Or how to get there? please give detailed directions. Also Do the shuttles run on Sunday evening coz he lands at 8pm? Thanks!

I found the following on the ACSA website
Long-term parking

The Super South Gate (Park and Ride) or low-cost parking is based at Super South Gate. From the R21 (South) towards Boksburg, take the Griffiths off-ramp. At the Griffiths off-ramp, turn left. At the T-junction, turn right and then left into the first street (ACSA Park 1). Drive all the way to the end where you will see the parking entrance on the left hand side.

A 24/7 free shuttle service delivers and collects passengers from terminal buildings every 15 minutes.

The link herafter also have the following on the costing and maps of parking areas

"To calculate your parking costs within a certain parking area over a specified period, use the calculator on the right of this webpage."

He has 2 options -

As you drive in to OR Thambo - take the parking turn off - he will then see a bunch of parking on his left, i.e. with shade cloths over them - he can park there but it is one hell of a walk to the domestic departures if he cant find a "golf cart" to give him a lift

Alternatively there is a company that offers offsite parking for R50,00 a Day - see their website:

Hope that helps...

The parking at OR Tambo is a rip off!!!! One of my parents friends left his car with a company called Klipkop - they charged him R350 for twelve days and yes, his car did come back without an scratches or extra km's....they even came to meet him off his flight and his car was just outside the airport waiting for him. Their number is 011 9643399 - if you don't come right, let me know, I have another contact number and e-mail address. Good luck...
