What suburbs are around royal north shore hospital in Sydney/?

are these areas good areas safetywise?

I agree with the other poster about St Leonards, Artarmon & Crows Nest, being safe and being within walking distance to RNS.

St Leonards and Artarmon are a bit dull but Crows Nest is particularly good for a wide range of cuisine and boutique style eclectic shops. Also has alternative health centres and a really good organic store there called Macros.

At St Leonards there is a college called Nature Care and they have a really good cheap caf茅.

I would also add:

Lane Cove 鈥?a gorgeous little suburb with a great community feel village shopping area and good restaurants. Only 5 mins by car or bus to RNS.

Chatswood 鈥?a little bit bland and suburban but has two massive shopping complexes, a cinema complex, a library, and lots of authentic Asian foods. Huge Chinese population there.

Personally, I would choose Crows Nest or Lane Cove.

St Leonards, Artarmon and Chatswood are on the train lines and have regular bus services.

Lane Cove is bus or driving only.

It is also possible to walk into the city CBD from St Leonards, Artarmon and Crows Nest 鈥?it takes about 1 hour.

There is a very good long-term stay place in St Leonards:

A good place to arrive at, stay for a few weeks or months (they do discount for long-term stays), get your bearings, before moving into a unit of your own.

The Mansions are very quite. They are literally across the road, less than 5 mins walk from RNS.

.

St Leonards, Artarmon & Crows Nest are closest, good suburbs and safe
