Is bass hill drive-in closed for good?

its been closed for a couple months now, but i want to know if it will ever be open again ; (

i went every weekend for years and years. it was a joy while it lasted!! I signed a petition online but i'm not sure it will do any good now. I looked at another sight that ppl say its actually still up, i may just chain myself to one of the screens lol. I wish i knew so i couldve gone on the last day. Never been to blacktown but i guess i have no choice now!! Sorry to hear it too... >:(

Yes it's sad to loose another classic Sydney Icon. I was a regular cinema goer at Bass Hill Drive in.

i think they tried to get it under National Heritage but greedy Greater Union closed it down as they get more money from charging $16 per ticket at the cinemas and $36 per ticket for the gold class at George st cinemas (which they have totally ruined)

Thats really a shame to hear......I used to go there years ago when I lived at Berala..........."progress"....greedy buggers.

yes and I heard rumours that it is going to be developed but I'm not sure about that. Its probably true though
