Lemme jus share ah reall personal story.
It wasn't Valentine's day but is a story anyway...
I now move to Tobago to work and ah meet up ah man who ah say ah go give a bligh.... cause he aint too bad-looking so he tell me he carrying me out...
Well hear nah... dem days yuh girl was hot fuh so and if yuh see how I prime up... he tell me he taking me dinner and dancing so I I dress tuh kill!
Dress and waiting... den I find out I have tuh travel cause starboy aint have no ride...
Ah say dais nothing man... is ok if he aint have no ride... I cool wid de travelling...
When I reach down Scarborough to meet he and we gone down Bon Accord where he supposed to be taking me for dinner and dancing... yuh know de dancing is by somebody house... somebody birthday party!
Already... I overdressed for the thing cause everybody else dey looking scruffy scruffy!
De DJ playing a set ah old school music... and NOBODY eh shaking a foot more than de deejay himself!
The big shocker was that dinner was supposed to be food from the party...
Well my mouth fall open cause dat is definitely NOT what I was expecting... dinner as I know it is a fine restaurant unless you doing a private home cooked meal or something!
Well it aint stop there either...
When we reach dey... de people eh have no more food to share and starboy gone begging somebody to just give both ah we a lil bit from what dey have put away...

Well that night for me... dinner was hard stale dry hops bread and fry chicken with a Fruta to help meh swallow cause de chicken was stiff too bad...
And after all ah dis... starboy have de testicular fortitude tuh tell me I lucky I don't have tuh buy my food for my own self how man in Tobago doh buy food for woman... dat woman dues usually have tuh see bout deyself!
Well yuh know I cyah run out ah dey because is meh first time in Tobago... ah have no family dey and ah doh know the front from de back...

I was thankful when the date was over!
