Armenian Friends!!! A serious question... what do you like about Turks and Turkish culture?

only serious answers please

Remember that Turks and Armenians have lived together for centuries. Their cultures are very similar, even though Turks are Muslim and Armenians are Christians.

Things I love...
The music.
The food (we share)
Family values (we share)
Ararat Mountain (our logo)
The good people (hospitality)
The beaches, nature.

Even though in the last 100 years our good relations have been ruined by the Armenian Genocide (blame whoever you want). I dont consider Turkey as an enemy to Armenia. As a matter of fact I think good relations between these two countries is on the track. Remember Turkey gave full 10 points in Eurovision to Armenia. Turkey's president talked of "normalization" of the Armenian and Turkish relations in the congratulatory letter to Armenia's president couple of days ago.Thank you.

BIGOT!!!! I think its very interesting that you ask a question, and when someone doesnt answer the way you want, you REPORT their answer?!?!!!
I said it once, Ill say it again, I've never met a turk, and until your country changes, I AM BOYCOTTING ALL TURKISH PRODUCTS!!! Report It

Amen to that 12294, abres aghchik jan Report It

In Iran, there is not much Turkish products but if it was I would boycott for sure, as a protest to Turkey's policies against Armenia. But I would still say I like Turkish music, since the first is based on politics but latter is cultural.
Two very different things. Report It

p.s. 12294 I did not report you I reported Kemal for swearing and insult thats all..if I was to report I wouldnt ask this question, would I.. Report It

yes politics and culture&people two different things

But all answerers talked about politics..thats what I meant dear friends..question was about people and culture..
well still a start
goodday Report It

I noticed that many Armenians do appreciate our movies, our music (to which they have also given great contribution),our food, etc. They also love our language, our litterature, that''s why many of them haven't forgotten turkish language. I am really amazed by the excellent command of turkish language by some Armenians I met in Paris.
They even consider us handsome men and pretty women, but of course they will never admit it.

Beemer : You gave a good answer, except about the word "genocide".

aside the Armenian Genocide, all of us have 2 eyes, 2 ears, one nose one mouth, and a heart and a soul.

aside the Genocide, our cultures and customs are very close, our music, our food including yummy pastries.

aside the Genocide each of us do have opinions regarding everyday and normal events, like what all we think about fashion, or what kind of a book we like,or technology, feelings about who is in love with whom, or our fears, or our every days work related issues.
about our parents, brothers and sisters, our spouses, our boy friends and girl friends, about teenager issues, health, economy and list goes on.

so aside from Genocide, things are the same.

Friends sometimes have fights and as you said, we should consider armenians as friends and give them credit for their contribution to the ottoman empire. I just wish that this long lasting friendship wouldn't have been converted to total enmity by a horrific event. We should make up for the lost time, and repair the ties, rebuild the bridges as soon as possible.

I think Turkish and Armenian people have a lot in common, in fact I draw a line between politics and ordinary people.
I don't judge on people by considering their country's policies.

Most of all, I like your music.

Thumbs up for Vahe.

We like your music too (for example, Onno Tun莽boyaciyan who was Armenian-Turkish)

It seems that there are only two Christian nations who are able to perfectly understand turkish musical motifs: Armenians and Greeks.

eveything!

I agree with 12294.

Hi D茅jaVu,

Well, we know that many Armenians have a kind of love-hate feeling towards us, and that's actually a strange relation, indeed.

I just want to say that I don't understand why they put us thumbs down even when we say we appreciate their music or their turkish knowledge( e.g. Manisalibo and El Turco's answers )

Armenians, you say you're boycotting turkish products, but did you know there are 40 000 illegal armenian workers who don't boycot turkish salaries.
Not to mention the armenian grocery stores in Europe, which sell imported turkish food ( Caykur tea, 脺lker chocolate, Baktat sausages,Dardanella nutscream, olives, baklava, cheese, etc...)
So, please stop being racist.

i think they like turkey travel section, i would like some other of them, too, if they hadnt ask questions and hadnt incited people against us...

take your agrees, put in your a goodplaces....go on check ip,
i afraided of it too much.

I'm not an Armenian as you know and therefore, I can't answer this question. Unfortunately, I can't telly you anything about Armenians because I don't know anybody who is Armenian.

However, it's a good thing to try to find out common grounds and speak about positive attributes of each other.

We would have less conflicts in our world if we only tried to talk about our similarities.

I congratulate you for your question... A next step would be to think about what you (and of course all the others) like about Armenians and Armenian culture.

eviiiil poison taste just like wine.swallow the lies until you re blind.and you re going blind .cant get to me or abuse me ,your racist tears will amuse me now let it flow.
What the hell are you proud of .heads head love ,the self respect must be earned.

this is my feelings to the Armenian friends.it the song sermon from Testament
