I'm thinking of buying a place in Uruguay....do any of you have any advice???

What kind of place? A house on some beach resort on the ocean? There are fancy ones like Punta del Este and more relaxed ones like some on Rocha with beautiful beaches.
Maybe a house in Colonia, which is 30 min. by ferry from Buenos Aires? A house in it's capital city Montevideo? Maybe a ranch inland?

If what you want is a place in Montevideo, would it be a house or an apartment? And what price range would it be?
There are some nicer more expensive neighborhoods, or other less expensive ones buy still ok.

By the way, Uruguay does have credit cards and ATM

Uruguay doesnt have hi-tech ATM and credit cards..so u gotta keep the cash ON you if u wanna buy something...
