What can you tell me about Puerto La Cruz, Caracas?

Like, is it a suburb of Caracas? How far away from central Caracas? Nice place to live? Gracias, amigas y amigos.

Puerto la Cruz is a Venezuelan city and port, in the state of Anzo谩tegui. It's the capital of Juan Antonio Sotillo municipality. It's the second most important city of Anzo谩tegui State after its capital which is Barcelona (Simon Bolivar municipality).

It is bordered by Lecher铆as city (Diego Bautista Urbaneja municipality) and Guanta city (Guanta municipality). The city is located on Pozuelos Bay (Bah铆a de Pozuelos, in Spanish). It is on the Caribbean Sea and near Mochima National Park.

Puerto La Cruz, Barcelona, Guanta, and Lecher铆a form a large financial and economic center of eastern Venezuela. This touristic city is also called the Door of Eastern Venezuelan.

Puerto La Cruz is the home of an oil refinery which is one of the most important in the country. It refines 200,000 barrels per day, and supplies the domestic market, as well as Caribbean countries such as Cuba and the Antilles.

The main economic activity of Puerto La Cruz is tourism. With good hotel infrastructure, this city is able to receive tourists from all over the globe.

There are several ports from which people depart to the beaches of Mochima National Park and nearby island beaches, as well as a port for ferries that go to Margarita Island (Nueva Esparta State).

In the canals of Complejo Tur铆stico El Morro (El Morro Tourist Complex), there are elegant neighborhoods with their own docks where yachts are parked.

Being located in a bay with deep waters accelerated its process of becoming a port for international traffic in petroleum and a commerce port was established in the neighbour municipality of Guanta. Metro de Puerto La Cruz
