When is the best time to travel to Vienna, Austria?

When is the best time to travel to Vienna, Austria?

if u want to see the snow-capped city, come in christmas (honest opinion - boring!).. if you wanna experience the liveliness in vienna, then come between june-september...

The best time when all your friends are free to have a big trip to the place you are going, but if you are going alone well see you later and have all the fun you want.

I love Vienna at christmas time but any time of the year is nice.

Fall, the weather usually gets very nice then.

(Summer is usually HOT)

I just finished up my visit in Austria, so I'm not a professional... It was my first time in Vienna. But the weather was perfect, I was there from June 10th thru the 16th. I don't know if you like/hate tourists, but it was a time when there weren't that many tourists around...

Karntner Strabe is the shopping street district. Fun shops, though very tourist oriented... Also... tons of Mozart chocolates (I didn't like this part). If you get a chance, go to Aida chocolates, the best chocolates (at least in my opinion) in Vienna.

The subway system is very good. If you'd like to go for a day outside of the main city, go to Schonbrunn palace. There's gardens, a museum, and mazes. And though I didn't go, Kunsthistorisches museum is pretty famous too.

I went in May. It rained most of the days, but then again they are known to have a ton of rainy days. (lived there for 3 years). Summer would be the best time to walk around and look at sites. But if you like to ski, then the mountains are incredible during the winter. But theres usually always snow on the mountains.

summer

in autumn.
