Capacity at the Ernst-Happel-Stadion in Vienna will be raised to 51,718 for the finals of UEFA EURO 2008鈩? with extra stands extending out to the running track.

Disabled facilities
The latest phase of construction work at the stadium which will host the finals will see eight rows of temporary seating erected in front of sectors A/F, E and C/D, providing space for an additional 4,000 spectators. In addition, 100 raised places will be installed for fans in wheelchairs, with the work due to be complete in time for Austria's friendly game against Germany on 31 January.

Direct access
The construction of the two-storey, 3,000m squared media centre next to the arena - which will provide room for 4,000 media representatives during UEFA EURO 2008鈩?- will begin in April. A bridge will be erected to allow journalists direct access to the stadium from the media area. Further works will see a second video wall erected in sector C/D, which should be ready for Austria's friendly game with the Netherlands on 26 March.
