Fort Meade? |
Any information on fort meade, how is the housing, some cities right outside from fort meade? MARYLAND! the question is under washington dc what does that tell you? I know all about Ft. Meade since I have stayed there over eight times. Are you talking about Fort Meade, FL or some Army base? It sounds like you are relocating. Not to worry, Ft. Meade is a nice small Army/Military town that sits between Baltimore, MD and Washington, DC. It you have a car you can easily find plenty of fun things to do in both cities. There are also several train systems that are close by that can take you into either city as well. Fort Meade is in a rural area and therefore the housing prices are significantly lower than what you would find in the two major cities I mentioned above. I live in Maryland and I think tunafabulous has a great answer. Laurel MD will you be stationed as part of Ft Meade or part of NSA.. might make a difference as to WHERE off base you want to live. traffic in a word..SUCKS... here. COL is pretty high. BAH just went up a nice chunk, though so you could possibly do better out in town than in MFH. Try Glen Burnie or surrounding areas, not Ft. Meade |
