Hey does anyone in NZ know of some really cheap accomodation in Palmerston North?

We live in Auckland and are going to Palmerston North for 4 days weekend of the 27th, there are 4 adults and we're on a pretty tight budget, if anyone could give me some suggestions or point me to somewhere or someone that could help....would be much appreciated

Otherwise check out www.wotif.co.nz

Check if the Kingsgate Hotel have their cheap rooms available. Basically, they bought up quite a few motels around their main hotel building and offer the unrefurbished basic rooms for a lot cheaper than their regular priced rooms (which are still pretty reasonable).

Do you have an entertainment card? I paid about $50 for a room at the Kingsgate

The albert hotel. It is on albert street. You take a turn off church street.

Anndion Lodge. 143 Anzac Pde. 0800343056. www.anndionlodge.com. Prices between $30-$120 per night. Everything is clean and new and there are TVs PS2 Swimming pools etc.

Tamara Backpackers. 06-3476300. www.tamaralodge.com. 24 Somme Pde. Prices $21-$56 per night.

Braemar House YHA. www.braemarhouse.co.nz. 2 Plymouth Street. 06-3472529. $24-90 per night.

Avrp Motor & Caravan Court. 06-3455279. 36 Alma Rd. www.wanganiuaccomodation.co.nz. Prices from $25-$100 per night.
