Voted city for best quality of life? |
I read that Zurich was voted the city in Europen with the best quality of living, since I've never been there could someone tell me what gives Zurich this title? Switzerland is overall very safe and stable country with good economy. Zurich is know as the Best Little City. It is not too big but has a lot to do and offer. Right there is the formula for a great place to live with good quality of life! 10 April 2006: The Swiss cities of Geneva and Zurich offer the best quality of life according to research published by Mercer Consulting in April 2006. Vancouver (Canada) is placed third, followed by Vienna (Austria), Auckland (New Zealand) and D眉sseldorf (Germany). Baghdad, not surprisingly, is the lowest ranking city in the survey. Switzerland has a very high standard of living, extremly wealthy people there, and low unemployment, high wages, great air -The Alps-everything.I live in Vancouver ,the best place in North-America and 3 rd world-wide. Fort Bragg, California. High wages, low crime, excellent public transportation, political stability are the big ones. I lived in Zurich and loved the atmosphere. There are beautiful parks, great restraunts, good public transportation, and nice people. I thought Zurich was a beautiful city that was clean and well cared for. The Alps in the distance made it beautiful. They have a great university and the main train station is awesome. Zurich is a fairly small place, the town itself has a half a million inhabitants only. But everything is available here on a top-level world standard, no matter if jobs, culture, products or services. Charleston, SC. It's GOTTA be!! Zurich's quality of life is great. |
