What to do and where to go in Zurich? |
am going for a few days in january, and ive been told that its a bit boring there with not a very good nightlife. obviously this is very disappointing to hear. but can anyone offer a few suggestions on where to go, what to see etc? The most famous districts for Nightlife are the Niederdorf in the old city district with bars, restaurants, lounges, hotels, clubs, etc. and a lot of fashion shops for a young and stylish public and the Langstrasse in the districts 4 and 5 of the city. Here you find more rough but authentic amusements: Brazilian bars, punk clubs, HipHop stages, Caribic restaurants, arthouse-cinemas, Turkish kebabs and Italian espresso-bars, but also sex shops or the famous red light district of Z眉rich. At the Langstrasse you find the very international and multicultural heart of Z眉rich. Some beautiful architecture there. Lots and lots of churches to see and lots of shopping to be done if thats your type of bag...although watch the prices, they are definitely very high. http://www.worldsbestbars.com/city/zuric... Yeah, it's a bit boring. It's actually a very small city (300,000 in the city itself, a million or so in the whole canton--many of whom would NOT say they live in Zurich). |
