Zurich. What can I do there?

I have a trip coming up and will have to spend a half day in Zurich before getting my flight home. I will be there in mid-November. Is there anything that I could do in the few hours that I am there - something cultural preferably.
Thanks.

Thank you to

You response was extremly hepful. I will have to see what I can do there - it's a pity about the boat trip on the lake as this operation finishes at the end of October......
Knowing my luck I will probably end up sitting around the airport for the whole day....I hope not but then I am not having much luck lately.
Thanks again for your help.

You might visit the "Kunstmuseum" (Artmuseum) for an hour and then stroll thru "Niederdorf" which is close-by (the old city of Z眉rich). They have lovely old and historical houses and small side streets. The famous Bahnhofstreet might be too busy since the X-Mas shopping will be in full swing. Also the Fraum眉nster church with it's Chagall and Giacometti windows or the really nice Z眉rich Zoo are worth a glance.

Visit a local watch company while earing some chocs.

ZUrich on your own in Nov can be extremely boring. You could try a ride on the lake. There's the church of Fraumunster in the centre which has some nice stain glass windows by Chagal. There's the Grossmunster where Zwingli the reformer was priest. The university is interesting. There's the Reitberg Museum famous for its collection of oriental art.

in Zurich you have the embarrassment of choice: visit mus茅s, shopping, strolls at the edge of the lake. You can discover this city, winner of the award "City of Best quality of life", in a two hours, in guided tour, why not? All depends on your tastes, here a link where you will be able to choose what interests you.

Happy holidays

then take "The Z眉rich Trolley Experience - City Tour" or take a taxi and asks him to make a turn of city. Often the luck arrives when one does not expect it, I wish you that it arrive to you soon

Get lost - well thats what i did!!

take a short trip by tram and bus to the Stadtspital Waid. It's an amazing view over the city.

Have a walk through the Bahnhofstrasse. It's very beautiful an there are a lot of shops there. Then you can also go by foot to the lake. I you have enough time you can visit a museum
Art Museums
Cultural History Museums
Design & Architecture
Museums in the Region
Non-European Museums
Science & Technology
Top Museums of Z眉rich.
Here is the link.
Have a nice journey.
