What is there to do in Zurich Switzerland? |
I am going to Zurich for 10 days in May and I was wondering if anyone knew what some fun things to do in Switzerland are? Good places in Switzerland to travel to, or things in Germany or Austria or any other country near Zurich. Eat lots of cheese and check your watch a lot. Go to Vienna, Austria. Zurich is a bit quiet and there isn't much to see. The problem is that Zurich is a banking capitol and everything is highly expensive. I suggest you visit the Swiss countryside. It's much more cultural, the food is better, and the view is gorgeous. Even though Z眉rich is a nice city, ten days are too long to only stay there. There is alot to do in Zurich and the rest of Switzerland. Switzerland is small, the train system is amazing and so after you tire of Zurich, do day trips, for example to the Rheinfalls (water fall) go to Luzern, etc. Go to Lucerne, you can take day trips up MT Rigi or MT Pilatius, excellent views, excellent shopping and generally a good quick trip from Zurich. Eat at the Gondola in Lucerne, great Italian food. You can also make it to Frankfurt Germany in 3 hours by train, Heidelberg is nice also in Germany. |
